Long · ~250 words

Daud Grewal is a Canadian entrepreneur, founder and CEO of Tripshepherd, and one of the travel industry's leading voices on community-driven, experiential tourism.

Born and raised in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Grewal got his start in 2006 while working as an usher at an IMAX theater, where he watched busloads of tourists herded through generic big-group tours. Convinced travelers deserved something more personal, he started See Sight Tours with his mother's minivan and an 18-point business plan scribbled on a sheet of paper in a parking lot. He made his first sale on July 1, 2006. Over the next 18 years he grew See Sight Tours into a multimillion-dollar small-group sightseeing company operating across North America, recognized by TripAdvisor as one of the top tour operators in Niagara Falls.

In May 2025, Grewal launched Tripshepherd, a next-generation travel platform that uses AI personalization and short-form video to connect travelers with authentic, locally curated experiences. Tripshepherd champions local guides and creators — who earn when travelers book through their content — and is built to counter overtourism by directing economic benefits to local communities. Launched in Niagara Falls, the platform is expanding to cities including Toronto, New York, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Miami, Bali, Bangkok, and Ho Chi Minh City.

Grewal is also co-founder and president of Hidden Humanity, a humanitarian nonprofit. He holds a BA (Hons) in Political Science from Brock University and speaks on travel technology, sustainable tourism, and entrepreneurship.
